Great Social Media Idea: GoPro Doggy!

Does everyone know what time it is? It's Friday Squee (TM) time!!!

“For love your pet day— Arkansas Tech strapped a go pro on their campus ambassador Jerry and took him across campus. We captured individuals taking a moment to love on Jerry. This flipped the traditional dog video on its head in that the stars were all the people that fed him ice, hugged him, took selfies, etc. The video was posted on the university FB and Twitter. On FB, it reached 13,200 and had more than 5,000 views. It was also retweeted and shared quite a bit.”

Love it, love it, love it! And before I forget... if you don't already follow Arkansas Tech on social media, you should do so right now. They do really great work and always have lots of creative ideas. (For all you lazy peeps - here's ATU's Facebook and Twitter.)

Such a cute and fun idea, and really... it's pretty much impossible for things to not result in social media success when cute dogs are involved. 

I'm a big proponent of making time to occasionally create content that does nothing more than build and strengthen the positive affiliation your followers have with your school. In other words, sometimes you just need to make people smile and remember that they love your college. And this great video does exactly that.
